Snowshoe hike Hunter Mountain

With 2 lean-tos, a fire tower and jaw-dropping views along the way, Hunter Mountain, the second highest peak in the Catskills, offers just about everything you could want in a Catskill snowshoe! This roughly 7.5 mile intermediate hike is for those with some snowshoe experience. For the stronger and more experienced, there’s an opportunity to add approximately 3 miles to the hike and also summit Southwest Hunter, a trailless peak.

Snowshoe around North and south Lakes

This roughly 4.5 mile easy to moderate snowshoe around North and South Lakes with a side trip to the sight of the former Catskill Mountain House is filled with views and history. On a clear day, you can enjoy the 4-state view from the sight of the former Catskill Mountain House. This trip is a great introduction for those who have not been on snowshoes before!

Nighttime snowshoe on the kaaterskill Rail Trail

Experience Kaaterskill Falls without the crowds and under the stars with a snowshoe hike along the Kaaterskill Rail Trail. This roughly 3 mile long trip is a great introduction to snowshoeing and night-hiking on a very easy trail. Along the way you’ll learn about the unique history of the railroad the trail now follows and the great hotels that used to welcome guests in the area.
